We have problem areas and need to work on them to live up to some ideal? Pfff, because of it! Our bodies are what they are and that’s a good thing. Sometimes the trousers or the dress pinch and we want to shape everything a bit. We’ll tell you how.

First of all we have to say here: You don’t have to do anything! But if you still feel like covering up a bit, you can do it very easily with a few simple tricks.

Black makes you slim – yawn!

Heard it a thousand times and always followed it when we couldn’t think of anything else. Sure, black is a muted color and pushes avoidable problem areas and love handles into the background, but it’s also boring as hell. For a change, how about an airy dress in a bright color that flatters your figure and still has the right punch. Red, blue, green – everything is allowed, as long as it bangs. And let’s be honest: Then your radiance conceals every problem area anyway.

Wear this, avoid that

Of course, loose clothes hide all the places on our body that we don’t love 100% and always want to see. And tight tops and pants really put the love handles in the spotlight. But are you serious about just wearing what accentuates the “right” spots or hides the “wrong” ones? We think: Just wear what you really feel. Are you in the mood for a baggy look today? Excellent! Tomorrow you feel like that tight body you happened to see last week and had to take with you? Even better!

Accepting your own body as it is and not always wanting to optimize it is an important step towards healthy self-acceptance. But sometimes the bacon rolls are just annoying and you don’t want to see them in one outfit? What is shapewear for? Underwear, tights and bodies that simply tighten and shape the body under the actual outfit. Everyone wears them, few talk about them and we jump on the bandwagon but we’re so excited.

High Waist and Co. – but hello!

Fortunately, there are fashion trends that make it easy for us to conceal problem areas. Let’s take the high-waist jeans: super trendy and the first choice when it comes to hiding belly fat. Dresses that flatter your figure are also a perennial favourite. Whether summery light or made of knitwear, they make it easy for you to feel comfortable and still be fashionable at the same time.
