Princess Kate announces cancer diagnosis in video message

After weeks of speculation, Princess Kate has revealed that she is battling cancer in an emotional video message.
Princess Kate (42) has cancer and is currently undergoing preventive chemotherapy.
The news was shared by Prince William’s wife (41) in a video released via the Royals’ official social media channels. In the emotional video message, she sits alone on a park bench and talks about the “big shock” that the diagnosis was and that she and her husband did everything in their power “to process this privately in the interests of our young family get over”.
She continues: “As you can imagine, this took some time. I needed time to recover from major surgery so I could begin treatment.” It would also have taken time “to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that was appropriate for them and to reassure them that I would be fine,” said Kate. She would have told her children “that I am doing well and that I am getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that help me become healthy – in my mind, my body and my soul.”

Kate can also count on her husband during this difficult time: “Having William by my side is also a great source of comfort and reassurance. This also extends to the love, support and kindness that so many of you have shown me “This means so much to both of us,” explained the future queen.
The cancer was only discovered after Kate underwent abdominal surgery at the London clinic in January. Kate reports that the operation was “successful.” But tests after the operation ultimately revealed that she had cancer. “My medical team therefore advised me to undergo preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of this treatment.”
According to the Daily Mail, Kensington Palace said: that he will not reveal any details about the type or stage of the princess’ cancer.
