Wedge heels are back and will accompany us through the summer

Hardly any heel is more comfortable than the wedge heel. How nice that the trend is celebrating its comeback this season – and even the royals are crazy about the shoe!
Wedge heels are currently experiencing a revival! We see the shoes with the continuous heels reinterpreted on stars, influencers – and even on the feet of some royals! Right at the forefront: Charlotte Casiraghi. The Monegasque woman recently wore a shoe from Chanel – with a wedge heel of course. The special feature: The heel is transparent, which visually elongates the legs and you can cheat a few centimeters taller.

But the shoe not only looks good, it also scores with its comfort. Because the wide heel offers more stability. In contrast to high heels With a stiletto heel, the pressure on a wedge heel is not only concentrated in a small area, but is distributed over the entire shoe. The advantage: Even after long hours of wear, there are comparatively no painful feet.

Duchess Kate was also spotted with said shoe some time ago. To be precise, in espadrilles with wedge heels from the Spanish brand Castañer. This special raffia look creates a summery holiday flair and can therefore be perfectly combined with maxi or midi dresses. But the shoes also look fantastic with white jeans and a light blouse.
Monochrome, but not monotonous!
This season, however, wedges with wedge heels in one and the same color are particularly popular. The French influencer Jeanne Damas shows how it is done. Since the purple-colored shoes should be the focus and give the look that certain something, the freshly mum combines a subtle polka-dot dress. This makes the look suitable for everyday use.
How high can the sales be?
By the way: The difference between one Platform sole and a wedge is that the wedge goes higher from the middle of the foot. In contrast, platform soles remain at the same height from front to back. How high the wedge heel is on the heel does not matter in terms of fashion. Slightly flatter wedges are more suitable for everyday use, whereas higher heels are particularly effective in the evening.
