Dn a school in the center of Bremerhaven, a city in northern Germany, a person was shot and injured on Thursday 19 May. The shooter was arrested, a police spokeswoman told Agence France-Presse. The assailant reportedly entered the school grounds and fired his weapon into Lloyd High School. On Twitter, the official Bremerhaven Town Hall account confirmed that a police operation was underway at Lloyd’s High School. The municipality immediately shared an information number for parents of worried students.
The injured person was taken to hospital, who is believed not to be a student at the facility, local police said in a statement. According to the popular daily Picture, the victim would be female and seriously injured. The assailant is in custody. Students would be safe in their classrooms with their teachers.

The police were alerted by a student when she heard gunshots in this establishment where more than a thousand young people are educated, according to Picture.
