Since San Francisco, Google has presented several new features that will help shape the future of digital marketing, both for the general public and for professionals.

With more than a billion consumers turning to Google and YouTube search every day to help them make purchasing decisions, the need for innovation is constant. To improve the shopping experience and make it both more natural and intuitive, Google has just unveiled, this Tuesday, on the sidelines of an event in California, a series of new features. The giant’s goal? Reinventing the future of search engine marketing and YouTube.

Fall for your next clothes in 3D

The arrival of ads on YouTube Shorts was in the box, and it is now confirmed by Google. Starting today, short-form YouTube videos, which generate nearly 30 billion views every day, will be available for action and app video campaigns. The goal is to inspire users to action on a company, service or product, all through video.

As they gradually roll out globally, Google is already promising that later this year advertisers will be able to connect their product feed to their campaigns, making YouTube Shorts video ads more buyable.

The Mountain View company indicates that soon, merchants will be able to present their products in 3D and augmented reality, directly on the Google search engine. Potential consumers will thus be able to easily visualize the targeted products in their spaces, such as their living room. This will allow you to have a fairly clear idea of what this little armchair that you have fallen for, for example, could look like.

After typing the request “extra chair”, the consumer wants to view it. He then chooses the option “display in your space”. A white chair is then placed virtually in the user’s living room. Augmented reality provides a fully immersive shopping experience © Google

Users will soon have more control over their privacy

The idea for the company is also to allow advertisers to broadcast more visual Shopping ads. And Google promises, very transparently, to present these ads as advertisements, so as not to confuse users. We obviously imagine that the clothes will be particularly highlighted by the brands.

Later this year, Google will make an innovation called My Ad Center available to its users. This module, which will be accessible to all, will offer users the possibility of keeping control of their privacy and their online browsing.

In particular, they will be able to choose the types of advertisements they wish to see more or less of, and also configure the data on which the advertisements displayed on Search, Discover and YouTube are based.
