Released in May 2022 on PC, Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate will arrive on consoles on August 24th. The Delicious Punkcake Collection Project will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate comes as a chess-inspired turn-based strategy roguelite. Unfortunately, in this game, your entire army sided with white. To win, all you have left is your trusty shotgun. Each turn you have to choose between reloading your rifle, shooting the enemy pieces, or moving your king while reloading. The goal is obviously to eliminate the opposing king before suffering a checkmate.
Each successful level allows you to choose between two combinations of an upgrade for you and your rifle, but be careful because there is also an upgrade for the opposing army. It is therefore essential to make the right choices for the future. The title offers a total of 15 difficulty levels in the Story mode, an infinite mode as well as a Hunt mode. In the latter, you will suffer continuous attacks from all sides.
