Siemens: invests 115 ME in a new site in the United Kingdom

(CercleFinance.com) – Siemens Mobility announces a €115 million investment to establish a state-of-the-art rail infrastructure manufacturing, digital engineering and research and development (R&D) center in Chippenham, UK United.

The new facility, which is expected to replace the existing factory in 2026, will be vital for Siemens Mobility’s future projects in the field of rail technology.

The site will notably enable the construction of the next generation of conventional and digital railway signaling and control systems for Britain.

The transition, including the transfer of all local staff, around 800 people, will not result in any interruption of production, Siemens says.
