“Under no circumstances should we stand still. Things must always go on.”
Since the death of her son, Simone Ballack has decided entirely alone whether she laughs or cries. And relies on her personal grief therapy.
Simone Ballack in a GALA interview
GALA: How do you manage not to be broken by this stroke of fate and even enjoy life again?
Simone Ballack: Since the tragic loss of my son, I have tried to extract as many positive things as possible for myself and my family every day and to always try new things. Definitely not standstill. It always has to go on.
Is this a kind of therapy for you?
I believe that constantly setting yourself new tasks is the best medicine against grief. And also not to let anyone tell you how to live.
Simone Ballack: “I’ve always been interested in acting”
Is the excitement building now, so close to the premiere?
Yes, daily! I am very grateful for the opportunity to be on stage, even without any stage experience. I’ll give it my all. Ralph Siegel has a lot of trust in me and is convinced of my stage presence and quality.
Is a new career on the horizon?
Acting has always interested and fascinated me. Who wouldn’t want to be a singer or actress?
How do you prepare?
Physically, I feel very comfortable in my own skin at the moment, and of course that also gives you self-confidence when you stand in front of an audience. But I eat normally and don’t do any special training. I just work a lot and am always on the move.
Simone Ballack has a lot on her agenda in the near future
What are your next projects?
I have planned a new wallpaper collection, my own cosmetics line and I am also renovating a hotel owned by my partner Heiko in Italy in cooperation with Westwing. I really enjoy this because I have always enjoyed building, furnishing and renovating.
