Six climbers die on Kamchatka Peninsula

They wanted to climb the highest active volcano in Eurasia. Then a tragic accident happened. The rescue work is still ongoing.

(dpa) At least six climbers have died on a volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula in far eastern Russia. The investigators said on Saturday that they had fallen from a great height. On Sunday night, the Tass state agency, citing the authorities, reported that another person had not survived the accident. Five dead had previously been mentioned.
