Six dead as US sandstorm causes pile-up – News

  • At least six people have died in a pile-up caused by a sandstorm in Montana.
  • The accident happened on Friday (local time) near the small town of Hardin.
  • Two minors are among the fatalities.
  • Strong wind and poor visibility caused the accident, in which several people were injured.

More than 20 vehicles were involved. “As someone who was born here, who has worked with the Montana Highway Patrol for 24 years, I can tell you that this was no ordinary weather event,” the media quoted Interstate Patrol officer Jay Nelson as saying.
