the release of two huge excluded people is finally becoming clearer

Expected at the turn during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9, two huge upcoming exclusives did not manage to keep their release date secret for so long.

Until now, the Indiana Jones game developed by MachinesGames and Avowed developed by Obsidian Entertainment had only been given a wide release window. This was clarified by a report from the generally knowledgeable Tom Warren at The Verge.

Indiana Jones and Avowed spill the beans sooner than expected

If Microsoft exclusives have been wise at the start of the year, things should change a lot in the months to come. This month we already have a certain Hellblade 2 expected on May 21. But other big cartridges will arrive after the Xbox Games Showcase scheduled for June 9. Among the most anticipated releases we have Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle, Avowed and STALKER 2: Heart of Chronobyl. We know that this one will be released on September 5, but the mystery still remained for the first two.

This was supposed to be one of the big announcements at Xbox’s Summer Game Fest event. But Tom Warren heard some bells and whistles that pulled the rug out from under Microsoft’s gaming branch. According to him, Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle will be released in December, while Avowed will be released in November.

A loaded program suite for Xbox

However, we will have to wait for the Xbox event to find out for sure. In any case, the two titles are expected later in 2024. Fans of the X brand will therefore have a lot to get their teeth into in the second half of the year.

In addition to Indiana Jones and Avowed, the Xbox Games Showcase should also take the opportunity to finally shed light on the highly anticipated Gears 6 and the next Call of Duty. The first should, however, wisely bide its time to be released at the earliest in 2025 on PC and Xbox Series, while the second could be released in October 2024 on these platforms as well as on PS5.
