The 56-year-old came across a company via social networks that offered financial services in connection with currency trading. “The victim was advised by telephone two to three times a week by a German-speaking alleged employee of the company,” said the police. So the Tyrolean transferred a middle six-digit euro amount between February and May.
After promises of profit in the millions and the transfer of the last payment, the contact was broken off.
