It should be a fun day. But in the end the little Wongel E. († 6) died. At the beginning of September, the six-year-old spends the day with her family at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in the US state of Colorado.
First a normal excursion. But around 7 p.m. the tragic accident happened. The girl takes a seat on the roller coaster “The Haunted Mine Drop”.
Six people sit next to each other in a car on the track – it then falls about 30 meters down. When the train reappears that evening, the girl’s seat is empty. The six-year-old is lying on the floor. Dead. The rescue workers can no longer do anything for the little one.

Now shows a report of the amusement park: Wongel E. was not properly buckled. The supervisors of the train had not noticed that the girl was sitting on the seat belts instead of being fastened with them. Incredible: Although the computer reported a problem before the journey, they started the train.
The report on the course of the accident shows that the two railway supervisors had been on duty for less than three months and were not properly trained. So they didn’t know what to do when the computer signaled a problem.
Family is suing the park
According to the family’s lawyer, the parents want to file a lawsuit against the park this week, as reported by the Washington Post. Because: The park did not adhere to the “highest level of caution” before starting the journey.
The lawyer told the newspaper: “It is the park’s responsibility to tie up passengers and check that everyone is properly secured before take-off.”
E.’s parents and friends still can’t believe that the six-year-old is no longer alive. In order to be able to pay the funeral costs, they have launched a fundraising campaign. “She was a beautiful and happy girl,” says the ad. The goal is 100,000 US dollars. In the meantime, more than 75,000 US dollars have been raised. (gin)
