Mirja du Mont announced on Instagram that she had white skin cancer removed and appealed to her followers.
Mirja du Mont (48) had to be treated by a dermatologist. She shared this with her followers on Instagram with. “Guys, please go to the dermatologist for cancer screening. I had to have my non-melanoma skin cancer removed today,” she wrote in a March 7 Instagram story. She also published two pictures of the area where she had to be treated. The second photo shows the treated wound after the procedure. Two attached emojis as praying hands obviously express how grateful the actress is for the treatment and the positive outcome.
Not the first time I’ve had skin cancer
Mirja du Mont made her skin cancer diagnosis public on Instagram in 2021. Last week she had a check-up “because I discovered a change in the skin on my stomach.” After a sample was taken, she was diagnosed with non-melanoma skin cancer. “It was a local basal cell carcinoma, which did not spread further in the body after it was removed,” she explained further and gave the all-clear: “After a small operation, the basal cell carcinoma was removed.” Addressing her followers, she also wrote at the time: “Please go for skin cancer screening regularly.”
In 2021, Mirja du Mont was involved in the topic of prevention in the VOX program “Showtime of My Life – Stars against Cancer”. On Instagram she wrote about her participation and the format: “Please go to cancer prevention! Let’s enjoy this life as long as we can.” Both the actress’s mother and grandmother suffered from breast cancer, and she also had a benign breast tumor discovered a few years ago, which was completely removed.
