In a comparison of state capitals, Linz is the cheapest in terms of district heating prices. This is still the case even after the eight percent increase, which comes into force on March 1st: €103.88 per megawatt hour is due in Linz. People from Klagenfurt have to pay €110.45 – in Graz, district heating is the most expensive in the country at €191.40; in Vienna, a megawatt hour costs €188.64.
