Slime Rancher 2 had the best launch in the franchise and won over many gamers. But since it is only available in early access, new things will be introduced over time, and it looks like the developers are preparing some nice updates for us.
Nick Popovich, co-founder and CEO of Monomi Park, spoke on Twitter, stating that ” the only thing more awesome than Slime Rancher 2 is all the awesome things that happen “. It therefore implies that Slime Rancher 2 will welcome major content updatesand that they will probably add expected features, but also new slimes or gadgets.

We don’t have any indication of what’s to come at this time, except that achievements appear to be in the works. It will soon be possible to unlock some achievements, which will be retroactive, so that it is not necessary to restart a game. However, we have no exit window.
Monomi Park is moving at its own pace and will let us know more details when those updates are ready to go out. But we should see a first patch being deployed soon, to fix reported issues and potentially improve optimization.
Slime Rancher 2 is, as a reminder, available on PC, Xbox Series and in the Game Pass, in early access.
