Small Kraxler is growing – Now the Suzuki is coming as a four-door version!

The Suzuki Jimny is one of our most popular cars. While it doesn’t sell too many (for various reasons), the little two-door makes sure to bring smiles wherever it goes. Now a long version has been presented – and it even gets two rear doors!

The body variant, which has grown by 34 centimeters to 3.99 meters in length, was presented at the Auto Expo in Delhi (January 13 to 18) by the Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki. In India, the new Jimny version will come onto the market in the spring at prices starting at around 14,200 euros. Inside there is a bench with space for two people. The XL Jimny is characterized, among other things, by a larger trunk. If the headrests are removed from the front seats, the flat backrests can be converted into loungers with the rear bench seats. The new five-door naturally has all-wheel drive and off-road expertise. Drive is a 1.5-liter mild hybrid petrol engine with 105 hp. In addition to a five-speed manual transmission, a four-speed automatic converter is available. It is uncertain whether the five-door will come to Europe. The two-door Jimny is no longer sold as a passenger car in Austria, but a two-seater commercial vehicle variant with a cargo area is available (from 23,990 euros).
