SMCP: half-year turnover up 21.4%

(CercleFinance.com) – SMCP publishes a turnover of 565.4 ME for the 1st half of 2022, an organic increase of 21.4% compared to the same period a year earlier.

The group highlights its ‘excellent performance in Europe throughout the semester’ as well as ‘strong momentum in the Americas region, partially offset by the significant impact of the restrictive measures relating to Covid in APAC.’

In this context, adjusted EBITDA came to 121.8 ME in the 1st half (+23.6% in published data compared to the 1st half of 2021), while at the same time, adjusted EBIT increased by 75.8 % in published data, at 45.2 ME.

In the end, the net income group share amounted to 20.7 ME, a very strong increase compared to the 1st half of 2021 (0.9 ME). EPS thus stands at 0.28 euro, against 0.01 euro twelve months earlier.

On the strength of this performance, and provided that the geopolitical situation, the macroeconomic context and health conditions do not deteriorate further over the rest of the year, SMCP confirms its forecasts for the year 2022.
