SMEs are massively adopting management solutions

With the health crisis, the digital transformation of small and medium-sized businesses has greatly accelerated. While some have invested over the past two years in online sales solutions to reach virtual customers, today more than ever they need to equip themselves with management solutions to transform the digitalization test.

France Num’s latest barometer on the digitization of VSEs and SMEs shows that 85% of companies questioned have at least one management tool (+8 points in one year), while the rate of equipment for sales solutions in line no longer progresses.

Only 26% of companies have an online solution, with the merchant site remaining popular with 20% of respondents. In addition, just over half of companies (56%) do not sell online, particularly in industry and construction.

Digital invoices, a growing trend

Companies use several tools to manage their activity. Accounting and invoicing software are making great progress, the report notes. Among companies that have invoicing software, 39% have digitized more than 50% of their invoices and can automate their processing.

Production, purchasing and logistics management tools also rose by 7 points in one year, to 32%. Faced with the evolution of online demand, companies are more easily requesting tools for managing delivery orders and managing inventory.

It is also interesting to note that the progress of collaborative tools is stagnating in 2022. According to the barometer, 69% of companies are equipped with them, and this rate does not vary from one year to the next. VSEs and SMEs now prefer to invest in professional social networks and intranets to stay connected.
