The subsidiary of the railway group wants to do better than the 770 employees hired in 2022 for the Transilien network.

The deadlines are getting dangerously close, starting with the Paris-2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As a result, SNCF Voyageurs is beefing up its ranks on the Transilien network in Île-de-France. The SNCF subsidiary plans to recruit 900 new agents in 2023, even more than the 770 hired in 2022.This is a very significant recruitment volume driven by ambitions for constant improvement in passenger services», Welcomes the subsidiary of the SNCF in a press release.

Nearly half of the offers will relate to the profession of driver – RER, train and tram-train. Transport companies have been struggling for several months to recruit drivers, both on rail and on road, to the point that this is becoming a major development issue for them. SNCF Voyageurs will however have managed to hire 220 train drivers last year, twice as many as in 2020. This large contingent will almost double in 2023.

The Transilien teams have carried out numerous actions to achieve these objectives – job dating, recruitment forums, communication campaigns, job offers via town halls, presentation of jobs in schools, etc. – and internally by supporting agents wishing to reorient themselves“, explains the group.

For the rest, Transilien is looking for station customer relations officers, maintenance technicians, production agents and supervisors. Enough to prepare for the commissioning of Eole, the extension of the RER E to the west of Paris, in addition to the upcoming arrival of the Olympics.
