Snoop Dogg Joins The FaZe Clan In A Surprising Way

Legendary West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg has officially joined the FaZe Clan. In an announcement on March 7, the video game organization revealed that Snoop Dogg is a “talented” new member and is joining its board of directors.

As many video game fans noticed, Calvin ‘Snoop Dogg’ Broadus Jr. wore a FaZe Clan chain during his Super Bowl performance. Turns out it wasn’t just a hype, as the 17-time Grammy-nominated artist is officially joining the FaZe Clan.

In a press release, the FaZe Clan revealed that Snoop will become one of the directors of the company after their merger with BRPM, which will lead to FaZe becoming a publicly traded company around spring 2022.

Snoop, himself, also announced his membership. In a tweet on March 7, the famous artist shared a video with a simple caption: “Joined FaZe Clan”.

According to the PR briefing, it was Snoop’s son, Cordell Broadus, who brought this partnership to life.

Snoop referenced this relationship in the announcement: “It makes sense to partner with the FaZe Clan as a member of the team and board… Young people identify with their brand and that’s something my son Cordell knew that’s why he brought us together.”

So far, there have already been glimpses of Snoop and FaZe’s relationship. Along with the obvious entertainment and streaming interests (where Snoop’s efforts on Twitch are widely known), there’s also a community outreach component.

FaZe hosted a charity flag football game ahead of the Super Bowl. In fact, $25,000 was donated to Snoop Dog’s Youth Football League. The organization also announced that it would launch, in partnership with Snoop, a “community outreach program focused on charitable activities for young people”.
