SodaStream keeps tap water sparkling with its new machine, the E-Terra

For several years now, SodaStream has allowed us to make our own sparkling water. The Spirit One Touch had been part of the manufacturer’s catalog since 2018, but seems pushed towards release. Now it’s time for the E-Terra, a novelty from the manufacturer that comes to refresh the mythical machine.

Just like its predecessor, the E-Terra allows better control of the intensity of water carbonation thanks to three predefined levels. The user has the choice between light, sustained or powerful bubbles, which he can select via the controls provided for this purpose. A single button defines the character of the drink.

However, the E-Terra benefits from a small novelty: LEDs illuminate the bottle during carbonation.

This model benefits from the manufacturer’s so-called Snap & Lock fastening system, which consists of clipping the neck of the bottle directly to the machine. The user can choose to make two sparkling waters at the same time thanks to the two bottles provided by SodaStream: one of 0.5 l and another of 1 l. For convenience, these two containers are dishwasher safe.

Finally, SodaStream is once again playing it simple by opting for a gas bottle with the Quick Connect system. Unlike conventional bottles to be screwed onto the device, the cylinder fits into the machine with one movement. We refuse nothing, especially since the two systems are sold at the same price, set at €13.49.

To obtain sparkling water with the E-Terra almost straight out of the tap, however, you will have to wait until March 2023. Indeed, the machine (available in black) will be marketed next month on the website of the manufacturer and in specialist stores at €150.
