There have already been rumors that Hollywood stars Joe Manganiello, 46, and Sofia Vergara, 51, after nine years of relationship, seven of them married, have confirmed their love to the US celebrity portal “Pagesix”.

“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” they said in a statement shared with Pagesix. Joe Manganiello and Modern Family star Sofia Vergara added: “As two deeply loving and caring people, we kindly ask that our privacy be respected at this time as we navigate this new phase in our lives.” The couple is silent about the reasons for their separation.

Supposedly they should Colombian-American actress and the “Magic Mike” actor have long distanced themselves from each other. A source told Pagesix: “Sofia and Joe have been drifting apart for some time and are now taking some distance to contemplate their future.” Vergara and Manganiello were last seen together in New Jersey in May, when Sofia visited her husband on the set of his new project Nonnas.

The actress does not show the pain of separation on Instagram and cheerfully shares vacation snapshots from Capri. On the Italian dream island, she and her friends treat themselves to a break from their days of shooting Vergara on “America’s Got Talent”, the US equivalent of “Das Supertalent”.
In July 2014, Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara’s relationship became known. After only six months of relationship, they got engaged at Christmas and said yes the following year on November 22, 2015 in Palm Beach, Florida. The couple have no children together.
