Soitec: turnover down 7% in the 2nd quarter

(CercleFinance.com) – Soitec publishes a turnover for the 2nd quarter of 245 ME, down 7% at constant scope and exchange rates compared to the 2nd quarter of 2022-2023 and -9% in published data.

‘We have maintained strong profitability and a solid financial position while continuing to invest in R&D and in our industrial capacity, and by building up inventories in order to prepare for the second half of the year,’ underlines Pierre Barnabé, Managing Director of Soitec.

Over the entire first half, turnover stood at €401 million, down 15% in published data and at constant scope and exchange rates, in line with the group’s expectations.

‘The anticipated return to slight organic growth in the 2nd half of the 2023-2024 financial year leads to a moderate revision of the outlook for the 2023-2024 financial year: annual turnover is expected to decline by a percentage of approximately “mid-single digit” at constant scope and exchange rates and the EBITDA margin around 35%’, indicates the group.
