SOKO Munich: The crime series ends with one last TV film

The final episodes of "SOKO Munich" will start in September. A 90-minute TV film will mark the end of the crime series.

At the end of its era, the ZDF crime series "SOKO Munich" is getting a last feature-length special. The broadcaster announced this on Tuesday (August 25) and announced that filming for the 90-minute film "SOKO Munich – The Countdown" had started in the Bavarian capital and the surrounding area. This is expected to last until September 4th, the broadcast is planned for the end of 2020 – as the conclusion of the final "SOKO Munich" season, which will celebrate its TV premiere in September.

One last case for Arthur Bauer and his colleagues

First detective chief commissioner Arthur Bauer (Gerd Silberbauer, 67) wants to retire and invites his colleagues to walk out. When a woman is threatened by an armed man not far from the selected beer garden, Chief Detective Dominik Morgenstern (Joscha Kiefer, 37) intervenes. He fatally injured the attacker in pursuit and was suspended from duty. Meanwhile, while searching the apartment of the previously threatened woman, his colleagues make an eerie discovery: In addition to a corpse, they come across evidence of a planned attack.
