For many months, the inhabitants of the small village of Bray-les-Mareuil, located in the Somme, have been confronted with a serial killer… very particular. The latter would have taken a malicious pleasure in making about fifteen cats disappear.
What is happening in this usually peaceful little village? In recent months, fifteen cats have been found dead or have mysteriously disappeared in this small town located in the middle of the Somme department. All cat owners have faced the same thing: every time their pet left their house, they never came back. For the inhabitants, nothing is due to chance: a serial cat killer lives among them.
“Not long ago I saw a person driving his car who sped up when he saw a cat about to cross the road”says one of them. “I met a hunter who told me: we, when we see a cat, we shoot it. Here, we don’t like cats”, says another. As you will have understood, the inhabitants of Bray-les-Mareuil are suspicious. And no one is spared from gossip.
Cat serial killer still wanted
It must be said that the executions of these cats are incredibly violent. The mayor of the town claimed to have already taken in a cat that had been “immersed in waste oil”. Questioned by a local newspaper, Stéphane also testified: “I have already had problems with a person who had set fox traps without authorization. Five traps were set 50 meters from my house at the property line. I also found one of my cats in a box“.
Frédéric, who lost two cats, remembers discovering “a cat with bullet marks that had been thrown into the water”, a few weeks ago. In total, about fifteen cats have disappeared or been found dead in recent weeks. A situation of terror that becomes unbearable.
