15 years after the death of Michael Jackson (1958-2009), members of his family remember the music star. Jackson’s son Prince, 27, posted an Instagram story in which he wrote, alongside a photo of his father in a crowd: “Miss you. The world felt better when you were still here.”

The sister of the singer, who died in 2009, La Toya Jackson, 68, posted a slideshow with numerous photos of Michael Jackson accompanied by his song “Gone Too Soon”. “You have changed the world in so many ways with your overwhelming talent!!! We love you! We will always miss you!” she wrote in her caption.

Michael Jackson’s brother Tito Jackson, 70, also commemorated the anniversary of his brother’s death and posted a black and white photo of the singer with several hashtags including “15 years without Michael Jackson”, “gone too soon”, “always in our hearts” and “miss you very much”. His brother Jackie Jackson, 73, wrote on Instagram: “Hard to believe it’s been 15 years without you. We miss you every day.”

Biopic coming next year

Next year, the highly anticipated biopic “Michael” by director Antoine Fuqua, 59, is set to hit theaters. The singer will be played by his nephew Jaafar, 27, the son of Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson, 69. The film aims to paint an “in-depth portrait of the complicated man who became the King of Pop. It will bring Jackson’s most iconic performances back to life and provide an in-depth look into the entertainer’s artistic process and private life,” announced the production company Lionsgate.

“Aviator” and “Gladiator” author John Logan, 62, is responsible for the screenplay. Colman Domingo, 54, who was nominated for an Oscar for “Rustin,” plays Jackson’s father Joe Jackson (1928-2018). Miles Teller, 37, and Nia Long, 53, play additional roles.
