Sonic 3 will be released in theaters on December 20, 2024

Not much more info at the moment, aside from a first look at Shadow’s futuristic pumps. We do not yet know if Dr. Robotnik will return, partly because Sonic 2 saw him in very bad shape, partly because his interpreter Jim Carrey retired after the last film. We will find Jeff Fowler directing. Faithful to his post, the man will have put together the entire trilogy without flinching.

Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, and Idris Elba will return as Sonic, Miles, and Knuckles in the original versions, respectively. James Marsden will still play the role of Tom Wachowski, who, although he did not direct Matrix, hosts the anthropomorphic heroes in his humble abode. We don’t yet know who will play Shadow. To bridge the gap between Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, Jeff Fowler will soon offer a series live around Knuckles, with no release date yet.

See you on December 20 at the cinema to find out whether, yes or not, Sonic and Shadow will join forces to defeat the Biolizard as in Sonic Adventure 2. Given the face of the circular logo on the edge of the clapperboard, furiously reminiscent of said nugget of the Dreamcast, it’s likely.
