Sonic Frontiers details its battles and skill tree

The idea here is to collect fragments from eliminated enemies to unlock the skills visible on the different branches one by one. Sonic will start the adventure with his usual skills, such as the teleguided attack, vertical jump and trample, before leveling up to challenge the increasingly bellicose creatures. It will also be necessary to collect red and blue orbs in passing to improve the stats, but also to increase its combo gauge to see Sonic enter a state of frenzy, the Phantom Rush once filled.

Another solution: water the enemies from a distance with the Sonic Boom to inflict great damage, or opt for the Wild Rush, a zigzag attack which allows the passage to dodge enemy attacks. The trailer also recalls a method already proven to be effective on demos, which consists of surrounding opponents to break shields and protective barriers, in order to inflict maximum damage before they reform. Finally, like any good action game, the combat system also offers a parry to repel enemy attacks and counter-attack immediately, provided of course that you respect a timing relatively strict.

Sonic Frontiers is still expected for November 8 on Switch, PC, Xbox consoles and PlayStation.
