The market for wireless headphones
has exploded in recent years, and there is now something for all tastes and all prices. At least, if you are not allergic to intra-auriculars, which dominate the sector. For those who do not like the discomfort of this format, the choice is necessarily more limited.

However, it seems that Sony is preparing a new compromise specially designed for this segment of users with a design that is innovative to say the least.

Wireless headphones with a bold look

Here is an original proposal. Since this morning, images of Sony’s next wireless headphones have been circulating on the Web. A new pair with an atypical design to say the least since it will not be intra, nor a format inspired by AirPods. Those that should be called “Sony Linkbuds (ANC)” or “WF-L900” take the form of two interlocking circles with a hole in their center like a donut. An original design designed to limit the unpleasant effects of wearing headphones, probably to the detriment of insulation.

According to information from TechInsiderBlog, who unearthed the clichés, the Sony Linkbuds will still offer active noise reduction, while the microphones necessary for ANC technology could be located outside and inside the headphones. However, this still remains to be confirmed in the absence of a technical sheet.

These atypical headphones should be launched in two different colors, black and white, and come with a rather compact charging case. It will nevertheless be necessary to wait a few weeks, even a few months, before learning more about them.
