This is what have just appeared on the Web of Bluetooth headphones signed Sony under the name of WF-L900. Their design, however, has nothing in common.

The market for Bluetooth headphones has exploded in recent years and you can find them at all prices and in all shapes. Finally, at least if we accept some sacrifices since the intra-auricular are hegemonic and those who do not like to introduce an object in their auditory canal only benefit from a much more restricted choice. Sony nevertheless seems to have a new proposal for them in its boxes and this one turns out to be very original…
Headphones with holes
If it didn’t say “Sony” on it, you’d think it was an ear stretcher or some other piece of bomod. In fact, these renderings published by the TechInsiderBlog Twitter account reveal those who should bear the name of Sony Linkbuds (ANC), or WF-L900 to use the usual nomenclature of the Japanese manufacturer.
Their design is particularly original since they are not in-ear headphones and even less headphones using the now very popular AirPods format. In the form of two interlocking circles, these headphones display a design with a hole in their center, which should limit the unpleasant effects of wearing headphones. On the other hand, we imagine that the passive insulation takes a serious blow.
Never mind ! Despite this, TechInsiderBlog claims that the Sony Linkbuds are equipped with active noise reduction technology. However, it is difficult to imagine its effectiveness on such original headphones.
Colors and case of Sony Linkbuds
The images show two different colors for the Sony Linkbuds: black (or dark gray) and white, speckled in both cases. We also see the charging box, rather compact at first sight and equipped with a button on the front. It is impossible to determine with certainty, however, whether it is a pairing button or a mechanism allowing the case to be opened in one click.
The technical data sheet for these extraordinary headphones is not yet known, but we bet that it is now only a matter of months or even weeks before we learn more about these curious Linkbuds.
