Soon a PC launcher for PlayStation game ports?

The output of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC was an opportunity for dataminers to have fun, exploring all the hidden files of the game to find some discoveries. For example, we were able to learn that a multiplayer mode was initially planned for this first episode, before being put aside. And these last days are the traces of a potential PlayStation launcher on PC that make people talk.

PlayStation more independent on PC?

The launchers specific to certain publishers or manufacturers are clearly not very appreciated by the PC community, which generally prefers to do without them in order to group all its games on the same platform. But Sony may well want to launch its own launcher, given that the manufacturer intends to invest more and more in the PC world (and this would prevent it from sharing its income with Steam or Epic Games).

Traces containing the mention of a “PlayStation PC launcher” have thus been found in the carrying of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and VGC was able to verify this information, which would be authentic. This mention goes hand in hand with others which indicated the possibility that the PlayStation Network will also come to PC, so that we can connect PSN accounts to PlayStation games on PC.

For the moment, nothing is done, but we imagine that Sony is seriously exploring the idea.
