In 2005 we could discover Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichia fighting video game based on the universe of Dragon Ball Z, developed by Spike and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game was first released on PlayStation 2 and has since been adapted for other platforms including Wii and PSP. Since then, B.udokai Tenkaichi went through several sequels and spin-offs, bringing new characters, graphical improvements, and more advanced gameplay mechanics. Without getting too wet, we can say that this series is appreciated by fans of dragonball Z for its fidelity to the universe of the series. Moreover at the time the game had obtained the beautiful score of 72/100 and 8.2/10 for user reviews on Metacritic, a sign that is rarely misleading.

In the same vein, the last episode to date (besides the spin-off) was released in November 2007 and it had obtained 73/100 and 9/10. Then in March 2023, we were able to learn about the development of a fourth episode of Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi and since then, nothing. Official: Bandai Namco will have its Showcase at the Anime Expo which will take place from July 1 to 4, 2023 in Los Angeles. In order to present their next games. Spike Chunsoft the developers of former Budokai Tenkaichi are also present at the event.
A very likely appearance
According to the official Anime Expo schedule, this hour-long presentation is titled “Bandai Namco Entertainment Summer Showcase 2023” and will feature new announcements for Bandai’s upcoming games. Although no game has yet been confirmed to make an appearance, Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is obviously the most obvious contender. Difficult to imagine its absence except perhaps to present an even bigger title.
Can we know part of the roster for the occasion?
