Notes, or status, were recently introduced on Instagram. They are similar to a clean version of tweets from Twitter. In its recent update, Instagram change the location of Notes to make them more visible and accessible. These will now be displayed at the top of the profile of users, right next to their biography.
This subtle detail marks a significant change from their previous location which was limited to the inbox. By making Notes directly visible on profiles, the application hopes not only increase their use, but also make it a central element of interactions on the platform.
