Sophia Thomalla, 34, and Alexander Zverev, 26, have drawn attention to themselves in the past few days with an amusing hairstyle dispute. After the tennis star revealed in an interview with “Bild am Sonntag” that he hadn’t been to the hairdresser for over a year and now “don’t ask anyone [will], how far I cut them off,” his partner reacted on Instagram with the words: “I thought he was in Turin and not in Wunschhausen.” Zverev then explained with a laugh: “She would prefer her hair to stay that way. […] So that I look like a complete idiot, so that no other woman looks at me anymore, only her.”

Is that really true? On GALA on TV, Sophia Thomalla talks to Annika Laut about the headlines of the last few days. “This story with this hair, it’s unbelievable. So above all, you really have to say this: Sascha is the most unpretentious man I know. He really doesn’t care what he looks like. I could do that if we go somewhere in the evening, put on a colorful sweater vest with corduroy pants and he would put that on and not even look in the mirror and say: ‘Yeah, well, let’s go then.’ He really doesn’t care at all,” said the 34-year-old.
Wait – so does the presenter choose her partner’s clothes in the morning? “No, I don’t decide what he wears. I’m just saying, he doesn’t worry about it. It doesn’t matter to him. For him, other things just play a much, much bigger and more important role than looks. I actually love that “It’s absolutely amazing that this is the case and that he, who is so unpretentious, now has such a huge hair issue here…” clarifies Thomalla.
