Is Sophia Thomalla taken again? At least that suggests a smooch photo with Alexander Zverev. Those were the men before him.
Lately rumors of love have grown up around Sophia Thomalla (32) and tennis ace Alexander Zverev (24). With a Smooch photo on Instagram the moderator seems to have now confirmed the relationship. In the picture, she kisses a man, linked to Zverev. “I still have an ace up my sleeve for 2021 …”, explained Thomalla.
In Thomalla’s previous relationships, you think you can see a pattern: her husbands were always athletes or musicians. But from the beginning: In 2011, she made headlines with her relationship with Rammstein singer Till Lindemann (58). The two were in a relationship for about five years, but it ended in November 2015.
Short marriage to Andy LaPlegua
Only a little later, Thomalla caused a stir again. In June 2016 it became public that she had secretly married in the USA – namely the Norwegian Andy LaPlegua (46), singer of the future pop band Icon of Coil. “The marriage arose out of an extreme situation,” Thomalla explained at the time the “Bild” newspaper. “It was spontaneous and easy. Getting married in the US is as easy as getting a tattoo here.” In March 2017, paparazzi photos appeared with the British musician Gavin Rossdale (55), the ex-husband of Gwen Stefani (52).
In May 2018, Thomalla confirmed the divorce from LaPlegua. “Now the divorce is in progress and everything is fine,” she told Grazia magazine. However, she does not regret the wedding: “When I enter into a new relationship, I always throw myself into it with skin and hair.” At that time, she also revealed her male type: Accordingly, no man her age would suit her. She likes “self-confidence and independence”. You don’t care about “wallet and celebrities”. And: “If you don’t have a sense of humor, you’re out”.
Relationship with Loris Karius: “We are separate people”
In October 2017, Gavin Rossdale confirmed his relationship with Sophia Thomalla: “Yes, she is my girlfriend,” he told the news agency spot on news. A year later, the two were still in love on the red carpet at a gala in Los Angeles. Then there was a chaos of love again, because at the end of the year Thomalla was spotted turtling with soccer player Loris Karius (28). The confirmation of the relationship came in January 2019: Thomalla made her new love official on the NDR talk show.
The presenter announced about two and a half years later in conversation with the “Bild” newspaper however, “We are separate people.” Karius can “do what he wants from now on”. Since January 2021 she has been helping as the presenter of the dating show “Are You The One?” the candidates in matters of love on the jumps. And she herself seems to be happy again – with Alexander Zverev by her side.
