“Sowing trouble in the mind of the viewer interests me”: Vincent Cassel talks about his role as a mercenary in Liaison (Apple TV +)

Friday February 24, 2023, the Apple TV+ platform finally unveils its first French fiction in collaboration with Great Britain entitled Liaison. In this series mixing action and thriller, we explore how the mistakes of the past can destroy our future…

Vincent Cassel as a mercenary in “Liaison”

After several cyberattacks in London, the French government secretly sends the mercenary Gabriel Delage to find hackers on the run, with the aim of bringing them back to Paris where they will find asylum.

In the English capital, Gabriel crosses paths with Alison Rowdy, the assistant to the Minister of Security of Great Britain, with whom he shares a troubled and sulphurous past. Despite their extremely conflicted relationship today, Alison agrees to help Gabriel.

With the assistance of his ex, he intends to recover the information he needs on the hackers, in order to prove who is really behind these attacks and save the country from other potential future disasters…

In the credits of Liaison, Apple TV + subscribers discover a whole list of talented actors. Eva Green and Vincent Cassel are indeed the headliners here. These embody the terrible and cursed lovers Alison and Gabriel. But that’s not all…

The star duo also stars Daniel Francis (Albert Onwor), Peter Mullan (Richard Banks), Olivia Popica (Hobbs), Gérard Lanvin (Dumas), Stanislas Merhar (Didier Taraud), Irène Jacob (Sophie Saint Roch), Laëtitia Eïdo (Sabine Louseau), Patrick Malahide (Jack Rowdy) and Bukky Bakray (Kim).
