Soundcore does not let monotony get it down and has already announced a new range, Space, made up of two new products: the Space A40 and Space Q45. The emphasis would have been on the performance of active noise reduction and autonomy.
As always with Soundcore (under the thumb of Anker), these two newcomers want to offer a solid alternative to the tenors of the genre, and this on two main axes: the insulation provided by active noise reduction and autonomy. The Space Q45 circum-auricular portable headphones and the Space A40 true wireless headphones therefore rely on “improved” active noise reduction, certainly compared to what the Life series offered (as with the Life Q30 and Q35), capable of blocking “98% of external noise”… which, in itself, is anything but telling.
The manufacturer also specifies that its active noise reduction is adaptive, and that it is therefore able to automatically vary the level of insulation of the helmet according to the ambient noise. The design of the Space Q45’s ear cups would have been optimized in order to seal the user’s ears more effectively. These are promises that we will not fail to verify if the products fall into our hands.
The autonomy has, it seems, also been the subject of very particular attention: thus, the Space Q45 promises a dantesque autonomy ranging from 50 to 65 hours if the active noise reduction is engaged or not, while that the Space A40s would offer”up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge and 50 hours of total listening time with the charging case”. Said box would also be equipped with a USB-C port and compatible with Qi wireless charging. Soundcore also wishes to reassure on the rest of the specificities of the two products, and in particular on the sound quality by evoking “a balanced sound profile, immersive soundscape and enhanced clarity” for the Space Q45 and “powerful bass and crisp treble, yet balanced sound across all frequencies” for the Space A40s. In short, the usual speech.
For the rest of the features, the two new products are of course accompanied by the faithful companion application on mobile allowing access to a whole host of customization parameters, certainly very close to what we were able to experience during our tests. Life Q headsets. The manufacturer specifies that the behavior of its environment listening mode is always customizable and that multipoint Bluetooth (simultaneous connection to two source devices) is supported on both products. The Space A40s come with five pairs of silicone tips of different sizes.
The Soundcore Space A40 and Space Q45 are available in September for €100 and €150 respectively.
