The story of the lonely astronaut who has to carry out a mission alone in space has really not been told for the first time. But Netflix’s “Spaceman” seems to want to do things differently. On the one hand, the astronaut in question this time is Adam Sandler, and on the other hand, he is visited by a huge spider.

In the trailer for the new Netflix drama we see a thoughtful and desperate Jakub (Adam Sandler), who fears for the love of his wife Lenka (Carey Mulligan). Because he left her heavily pregnant and alone on earth. Now Jakub is questioning the decisions that have brought him to this point in his life.
His unexpected companion is the giant spider, who is lent his voice by original actor Paul Dano.
“Spaceman: A Short History of Bohemian Space Travel” comes from director Johan Renck, who also wanted to show a new side of Adam Sandler with the film: “I think people don’t realize that he’s not just funny and warm, but actually “very intelligent, really smart and profound,” Renck told Netflix.
