Space Perspective wants to offer balloon rides to the edge of space. Now the gondola required for this has been presented, called Spaceship Neptune.

Climb higher and higher with the balloon, higher and higher – up to 100,000 feet (30.4 kilometers) and look at the curvature of the Earth from the edge of space. What Space Perspective has been planning since 2020 sounds like a crazy undertaking. An undertaking that is obviously slowly becoming a reality.
The US company from Florida has now presented the gondola that will hang under the huge balloon, which is said to be as big as a football stadium. The passengers spend two hours just climbing in the capsule. Then there will be two hours of sightseeing at high altitude before the two-hour descent.
It goes without saying that the trip, which lasts at least six hours, should be as comfortable as possible. Passengers will sit in soft, plush armchairs. An on-board bar is available for refreshments. Ticket holders can stream their experiences directly to the world from the balloon, as the gondola is equipped with fast WiFi. And of course there is also a toilet.
However, the cabin will not yet transport people. Its primary purpose is to research flight behavior as part of unmanned test flights, which will take place starting next year. Tickets for the first real balloon rides have been sold out for some time. The exciting trip costs at least 125,000 US dollars (113,110 euros).
