It is not yet available everywhere in Germany, but if you discover it, you should definitely give it a chance. Because the pumpkin tastes really good – and is extremely versatile.

Spaghetti Pumpkin: Our Favorite Recipe

The spaghetti pumpkin owes its name to a little surprise that reveals itself as soon as the pumpkin has been baked or cooked: Its pulp is frayed into "spaghetti". Spaghetti Pumpkin Recipe:

  1. Divide the pumpkin, remove the seeds and then place the two pumpkin halves on a baking sheet with the cut surface facing up. A microwave (about seven minutes on the highest setting) also works, but we prefer the oven.
  2. If you like, brush the pumpkin with olive oil and place half a clove of garlic and a sprig of rosemary or thyme in each of the pumpkin halves.
  3. Bake at 180 ° C for about 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the thickness of the pumpkin, take out of the oven and then be amazed: if you scratch the flesh a few times with a spoon, you will feel that it comes off easily and becomes perfectly small Shapes spaghetti.
  4. Now all you need to do is season the spaghetti squash with salt and pepper and grate fresh parmesan cheese over it. A mix of grains or a couple of fresh pears add the right pep.

The perfect "pasta dish" is ready – you can even eat it straight from the pumpkin.
