Spectacular rescue – Metnitz: car crashed into parked PS cars

The Metnitz volunteer fire brigade was called to a somewhat unusual operation on Thursday afternoon. A car crashed into a parked car. A special crane had to be used for the rescue.

“For an unknown reason, a car crashed into another parked car,” fire department commander Johannes Ebner said in an interview with “Krone”. The parked car – a sports car – was thrown over a wall and stopped vertically. “The second car didn’t crash,” says Ebner. Spectacular recovery A carport was also damaged in the crash. “We even had to remove it.” Since there was no space for larger vehicles at the site, heavy equipment had to be brought in. “We were then able to salvage the car with a crane,” says the commander. The Metnitz volunteer fire brigade was deployed with a total of 20 firefighters.
