The so-called Speedweek, which takes place between April 15th and 21st, is slowly coming to an end. The ultimate goal is to reduce speeding accidents. For this reason, in some federal states there is still a speed camera marathon in which the measures are further strengthened. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the police officially take part in Speedweek, but not in the speed camera marathon, which takes place in other federal states on April 19th.
The locations for the speed camera marathon are often announced in advance, but unfortunately we do not have a plan for the Speedweek in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. If any news emerges, we will provide an update here. According to an article in the catalog of fines, there will be increased speed controls throughout the state.
