The speed camera marathon will take place in Rhineland-Palatinate and nine other federal states on Friday, April 19th. Increased speeding checks are to be expected, especially on this one day.
In addition to the speed camera marathon, there is also Speedweek between April 15th and 21st in various federal states. Rhineland-Palatinate is also taking part in this measure. The catalog of fines portal also warns that the increased controls could continue until the end of the month.
Measuring locations are only partially known
In federal states such as Bavaria, the measuring points are announced in advance. This has not yet happened in Rhineland-Palatinate. During the Speed Week, however, according to the Neuwied/Rhein police station, checks were already carried out in the area of the L 258 / Alteck, in the 70 zone there. So be extra careful here.
