Speedrunner blasts Elden Ring in crazy record time

Elden Ring speedrunning has taken a new turn with one player completing the game in just a few minutes.

For the average gamer, Elden Ring is an extremely large and long game, but that hasn’t stopped the speedrunner community from doing what they do best. Namely, complete the story of a game in record time.

If a casual player always wonders how is it possible to go so fast, speedrunners love Souls games because of the amount of paths and options available.

FromSoftware fills its creations with shortcuts and secrets perfect for speedrunning. Those who know every corner of the map know that there are ways to bypass certain areas and quickly access endgame content.

The vast world of Elden Ring doesn’t scare some speedrunners…

the speedrunner Distortion2 is an expert in the field. He impressed many players by completing Elden Ring in just 6 minutes and 59 seconds

Distortion2 breaks its own world records on Elden Ring

Elden Ring’s first successful speedrun was greeted with great fanfare on March 9, 2022 when Niko Bellic managed to finish the game 2 hours and 35 minutes and without a single death. A time that seems ridiculous today…

The first to pass under the symbolic bar of 1 hour is the youtubeur LilAggy. The day after Nikobellic’s triumph, LilAggy completed his Elden Ring speedrun in 59 minutes and 38 seconds.

That’s when Distortion2 entered the dance. The speedrunner first achieved an incredible time of 49 minutes and 29 seconds before breaking his world record 14 times. In particular, he achieved an impressive score of 8 minutes and 56 seconds on April 11 before dropping below the 7-minute mark!

“This category has been quite a journey”does he have said on Twitter after setting the last world record. “Still room for improvement, but I’m done with that for now.”

The speedrunning on Elden Ring is obviously not over yet. Some players will try to go beyond the limits of the possible to finish the game even faster.
