Spelldrifter, free game of the week on the EGS

Who says new week, says new free games on the Epic Game Store from 5:00 p.m. From September 7 to 14, it’s Spelldrifter which lands for free on the EGS. Strategic deckbuilding offers amazing possibilities.

What could a turn-based tactical role-playing game mixed with a card game look like? This is what proposes to discover Spelldrifter, whose goal is to offer an additional strategic dimension by superimposing two genres that seem made for each other. It will thus be necessary to create a deck made up of spells, attacks and defenses to go on an adventure. Each character can then move a certain number of squares in combat, and use cards within the limit of their action points.

However, this is not the only specificity of this title, which also proposes to influence time. If the turns are played one after the other, the chronology of the latter intersects. Mastering time thus makes it possible to master combat and become the equal of a god in this world. But there’s no point in rushing either, because the slightest mistake can be fatal.
