Spider-Man: 2 different versions at the cinema for the last film?

What if the directors of the film Across the Spider-Verse had pushed the concept of the multiverse to the point of launching two versions of the work in theaters?

Released in theaters on May 31, Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is a real worldwide success! It has already grossed $560 million internationally, a remarkable score for an animated film outside of Disney. In France, the film has attracted 1.2 million fans so far.

More than a month after the release, unusual news comes to us from the United States. The plot of Spider-Verse taking us into the multiverse, the team decided to edit two versions of the film with small differences according to the cinemas.

Andy Leviton, editor on the feature film, confirmed the information on his Twitter account. “I wondered when the public would notice it”, he commented, responding to a user evoking two montages. The directors of the film would therefore have pushed the concept of the multiverse to the end!

It was enough to ignite the fans, who want to go back to see the film several times to find all the differences. If the editor has confirmed, the directors have not yet spoken on this subject. In France, do cinemas also show several montages of the work? Contacted by us, Sony Pictures has not yet responded to our requests.

The American media Culture Crave listed on Twitter the small differences noticed by spectators in the rooms.

As a reminder, Across the Spider-Verse is the sequel to New Generation, released in 2018. After finding Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man, the friendly hero from Brooklyn, is catapulted through the Multiverse, where he meets a team of Spiders. -Hero responsible for protecting its existence.
