Spider-Man 2 is probably the most anticipated game on PlayStation and it should be the opportunity to discover a lot of new things. Here’s what we can learn.
When exiting from Marvel’s Spider-Man in 2018 we could all rave about the beauty and size of its open world. It was one of the first times that we could have such a vivid and complete faithful reproduction of New York (spoiler: in The Division, the city is dead). Well for its sequel, Spider Man 2the action-adventure game should reach a new milestone.
Spider-Man 2 even richer and deeper
The PSN page of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 confirms that the game will include a new location in New York, it should also be fully explorable. A good opportunity to expand the playground of Peter Parker and Miles Morales a little more and to make the city even more immersive:

MCU fans are familiar with Coney Island since it is in this emblematic place (with its Ferris wheel) that the final fight between Spidey and Vulture takes place in the film. Spider-Man: Homecoming of 2017. For the record, it is located in the peninsula at the extreme south of the borough of Brooklyn (which is also cited as an integral part of the new places). It’s quite large since in real life, it is about 6.5 km long and just under a km wide. Since the 1930s it has become a seaside resort and a very famous place to party.
What’s New in Spider-Man 2?
In addition to the new places that we could mention above, the game will also introduce a whole system related to symbiotes since Venom becomes the main antagonist for the occasion. Players can now switch between Peter and Miles, each with their own unique abilities. Miles has on his side web wings under his arms, which allow him to “fly” or at least hover to move much faster in New York. The young man should also still harness bioelectric powers. Peter on his side will have a whole panel of powers directly related to his symbiotic outfit. Perfect to put a rouste to other new villains like Dr. Curt Connors alias The Lizard or Kraven the hunter who will also have the right to his own film. For the record, the game is still scheduled for October 20, 2023 on PlayStation 5.
