It is through the character of Flash Thompson (played by Tony Revolori), who tells whoever wants to hear it that he is the best friend of Peter Parker alias the Spider-Man, that this easter egg arrives. To make money on the recent notoriety of his classmate, Flash wrote a book about their friendship, titled … Flashpoint literally “Flash’s point of view”.

Except that this title also refers to a famous comic book published by DC.

Flashpoint begins when the superhero Barry Allen wakes up in the middle of a nightmare: he is not the Flash, The Justice League does not exist, Superman is a prisoner of the government, except that! His mother Nora is alive and well and he can finally take advantage of her … Except the reader knows that Nora is usually supposed to be dead.

As his investigation progresses to understand this new world, Barry realizes that he is in an alternate reality that he himself created and will seek to return to the past and stop himself from saving his mother in order to may the order of things be restored.

The comics Flashpoint has already been brought to the screen during season 3 of the series The Flash with Grant Gustin, in the animated film Justice League – The Paradox Flashpoint and greatly inspires the first film devoted to The Flash of the DC Universe: The Flash , coming in November 2022.
