(CercleFinance.com) – Spie Industrie announces the signing, as agent of a consortium with Valemo and Services Voltige, of an offshore maintenance assistance contract for Provence Grand Large (PGL), the first pilot farm of floating offshore wind turbines in France.
The three partner companies will provide services during the preparatory installation and operational phases of this project. Supported by EDF Renewables and its partners, this pilot farm will be put into service at the start of the 2024 school year.
Made up of three wind turbines with an individual power of 8.4 megawatts, Provence Grand Large is located 17 km off the Gulf of Fos. It will enable the production of the equivalent of the annual consumption of 45,000 people.
